About Me

It started with that Apple IIe in 1983 — teaching my dad how to use it, then never stopping. Formal education gave me the foundation, but the real learning happened in the trenches: building things, breaking things, and Googling my way out of the mess. These days I let AI help with the Googling.
I work at West Chester University of Pennsylvania (WCUPA), part of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. My primary focus is Ellucian Banner development — building, customizing, and extending the Banner ERP platform that powers student information, HR, and finance across the university. I bridge the gap between the platform's capabilities and what the university actually needs.
Heavily Ellucian Banner, SQL, and Oracle SQL Developer on the backend. On the frontend, Angular and TypeScript keep things moving. I also lean hard on AI as an architectural layer — using it to accelerate development, review designs, and act as a force multiplier across the stack.
Reading, building, and breaking things. I follow the ecosystem closely — GitHub trends, dev blogs, release notes. AI has also changed this completely — I use it as a real-time research partner to explore new tools and patterns faster than ever before.
I love creating things and love seeing my work come to life. If there was a problem that was solved by a manual process, I love coming up with a code solution. Taking away the pain of that manual process gives me a rush. I've embraced AI as an architect — it lets me think at a higher level, move faster, and build things that would have taken weeks in a fraction of the time. Mainly, I love amazing the world with software that looks, feels and does new and cool things that have never been done before.
